The perfect stopover in Zambia’s Eastern Province

Situated just 6 kilometers down the Mfuwe road from Chipata, you will find Mamarula.  A comfortable Campsite and B&B with shady camping facilities in the lush grounds. An ideal overnight stop on the way to Malawi or South Luangwa.
We are involved with Magwero School for the Blind and the Deaf by raising funds to help build the school and contributing maize meal to help feed the children
There are 3 chalets at the Campsite with two beds and ensuite bathrooms. Another 3 rooms are available for budget travellers and backpackers, with shared ablutions. Each room has 4 beds and we offer inexpensive rates per bed per night.
The Boma in front of the Bar has several Braai /BBQ areas and a warm convivial fire place with tables and benches.
“The Pitstop”  Restaurant and Bar. No Internet available. We are proud of our lively bar, where good friends are made, face to face, not facebook !
The grounds are spacious and can accommodate many campers
There is ample shade with many trees and soft lawns to pitch your camp with your vehicle
We also have a private cottage which is located in a secluded area of the campsite, which can offer more privacy for our guests. The cottage has two rooms, each room has its own en-suite and also private lounge area, this is ideal for a family of 4 as one room has a double bed and the other room has twin single beds.
